An Ode to a new typeface.

7 Sep

While reading I Love Typography this morning, I came across this post describing the design and development of Ode, designed by Martin Wenzel. While, I’m usually not wowed by most new script faces (as much as, say, an exquisite slab serif), I was struck by the freshness of Wenzel’s approach to the historic formal construction style of broken script typefaces (see the Albrecht Dürer reference).

    Hi Karina,

It makes my day to know that there are people out there who appreciate my work.

    Thanks,
    Martin Wenzel
